For me, design is a way of reading the world. It exists between culture and industry, memory and progress, instinct and method. I am drawn to the points where these systems collide, especially where East meets West, craft meets technology, and inherited forms encounter contemporary life. These tensions are not simply themes in my work; they are a way of questioning how design takes shape.
I am less interested in style than in the ideas that produce it. I ask how objects acquire meaning, how culture survives translation, how design creates value, and how something can belong to its time without becoming trapped by it. I am interested in what happens when familiar assumptions are disturbed and when different disciplines begin to inform one another. Contradiction is often where the most useful questions begin.
Talks, Articles and Boards collected here extend that enquiry beyond the designed object. They move through cities, rituals, production, business, history and everyday behaviour, shifting between theory and practice. Together, they trace the way I think about design as a cultural and economic act, shaped by context but never confined by it.
